A strategic leadership transition has taken place at TAAC Aerospace Technologies, a company that represents Türkiye’s engineering strength in the global defense and aerospace industry and plays a pioneering role in the localization of critical subsystems. As of 1 March 2026, Mr. Murat KOÇ, recognized for his strong academic and engineering background, has been appointed as the company’s new General Manager.
Founded in 2019 with the vision of becoming a high-technology brand within the global aerospace ecosystem, TAAC has, under the leadership of its Founding General Manager Mr. Enis ATA, achieved significant milestones in Landing Gear Systems, Flight Control Actuators, and Critical Test Systems. Through international contracts and strategic programs, TAAC has positioned itself as a global player in its field.
After serving as General Manager since the company’s establishment, Mr. Enis ATA officially handed over the role to Mr. Murat KOÇ as of 1 March 2026.
Strong Leadership Rooted in Design Engineering
Murat Koç holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Yıldız Technical University and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Boğaziçi University, providing him with a solid engineering foundation. He began his career in academia as a research assistant before transitioning to the defense industry in 2014 as a Design Engineer at Kale R&D.
In 2015, Koç joined the Altınay Defense Group, where he played key roles in the execution of critical projects for over a decade. Within Altınay Defense and TAAC Aerospace, he served respectively as Business Development Manager, Project and Business Development Director, and Deputy General Manager responsible for Program Management and Business Development.
Prior to his appointment at TAAC Aerospace Technologies, he most recently served as General Manager of DASAL Aerospace Technologies (March 2024 – February 2026).
Fluent in English, married and a father of two, Murat Koç will lead TAAC’s strategic objectives, including strengthening its global competitiveness, expanding its engineering infrastructure, and delivering innovative subsystem solutions for nationally developed platforms within the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces.
